That mission has been lost to three straight years of decline in membership and morale. With John as the County Chair this mission will be reinvigorated by a restoration of  confidence from the Democratic Base and from the Democratic Activists. Candidates and the electorate will have confidence in a Democratic Party when it is organized, enthusiastic, and can energize a base of support throughout Collin County. John Lingenfelder has the leadership skills to restore that confidence. JOHN BRINGS THE PERSPECTIVE OF A CANDIDATE  John was the Democratic Candidate for U.S. Congress in 2010. John knows from a year long intense campaign that a County Chair, when their major skill is  shipping B.S. does not get candidates elected.  With the current leader the campaign in 2010 had one of the worst Democratic Party outcomes. Despite beginning with thousands contributed by State Leadership and by candidates, the Democratic Party's effort was poorly executed, resulting in a terrible turnout of typically Democratic voters.  This was due entirely to the poor organizational, planning and leadership skills of the current County Chair. John has the demonstrated capability to bring out the best in his teams. John knows success comes by building strong consensus through collaboration, timely communication and transparency . OVER THREE DECADES SELFLESS VOLUNTEER WORK AND LEADERSHIP John has been involved in his community as an active volunteer and leader. From Plano Solar Initiative and Keep Quality in Plano Schools to the Collin County Healthcare Committee and the Homeless Coalition of Collin County -- almost twenty nonprofit and volunteer associations and groups. John has filled a variety of roles from founder and co-founding member to President.   John knows that the path to raising the profile of the Democratic Party of Collin County will be through involvement of Democrats in their community. John leads and will lead by example.  OVER THREE DECADES OF BUSINESS LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE Plano has been John's home for over 20 years, where he has worked as a Consulting Software Engineer. For over 30 years John has been a Business Professional, skilled in Best Practices and Sound Financial Management. He has managed teams of professionals and worked with executives of every level  John knows that the Democratic Party of Collin County does not utilize the Best Practices for operating a volunteer organization.
